Samson Siasia 72yrs old Mother was reportedly kidnapped in Bayelsa State, Niger-Delta region. 3 kidnappers took Ogere Siasia from the family home and to date Samson maintains their motives are not clear. He however pleads with the kidnappers not to harm her.
Mr Siasia, who is currently in Gambia coaching the Nigeria U-23 team in preparation for the African Football Under-23 upcoming match in Gambia was distraught over the news.
The Nigerian Football Federation's president Amaju Pinnick also appealed for the release of Mrs Siasia, saying, "Samson is on a critical national assignment presently and the last he needs is this kind of distraction,"
